Your TV can sometimes feel like your BFF, but did you know that it can listen better than any human? Designed as a remote control for your home theater system, the ApriPoco lies in wait, memorizing every infrared signal sent from every button you push. As the bot sits comfortably in your living room, it can receive voice commands when you repeat an action. Other devices, like Amazon Echo, are designed to listen to you all the time. That data can be revealing, like the time Target knew a teen was pregnant before her father did. You're also probably familiar with any number of video game systems that watch you with a camera (you know, the one you never turn off). Right now, ApriPoco is only designed to work with infrared devices, but there is no reason why the memory and logic that is already in the technology can't be applied to physical commands in the future.
Physical commands like "walk the dog" or "kill all humans."
