About Brandy Clark

When Brandy Clark released her debut, 12 Stories, in 2014, she was quickly showered with Best New Album accolades and the LP appeared on numerous year-end best-of lists from outlets like Rolling Stone, The New Yorker, and The Los Angeles Times, who went so far as to call it “the country debut of the year.”

Along the way, Clark also accrued numerous awards for both 12 Stories and the song “Follow Your Arrow,” which she co-wrote with fellow country songstress Kacey Musgraves and Shane McAnally. Following all the extremely well-deserved attention, Nashville all-stars like Loretta Lynn, Lee Ann Womack, Eric Church, Alan Jackson, and Jennifer Nettles all asked Clark to tour with them.

Part of why Clark felt so comfortable sharing the stage with country’s biggest artists is because she was a successful songwriter in Music City before setting her sights on becoming a performer. Obsessed with the tumultuous lives of Patsy Cline and Merle Haggard as a child, Clark channelled her affection for the working class into writing songs for Reba McEntire, Keith Urban, Gretchen Wilson, Darius Rucker, and more!

Brandy Clark's second album Big Day in a Small Town is set to be released on June 10th, and is available for pre-order now via her website. Brandy performed some of the songs from the new album in her ACM Session, including "Girl Next Door," "Three Kids, No Husband" and "Love Can Go To Hell."
