Elimination Interview: Vanessa & Ralph

Posted on May 8, 2012 12:10pm

We asked Vanessa & Ralph questions that YOU (the fans!) sent in via Facebook and Twitter! See what they had to say about their time in the game here!

Jaycob M.: How is your ankle?
Vanessa: It still has a knot on it but I am running around in stilettos so I am OK.

Kymberly K.: What was your favorite road block? What was your least?
Ralph: My favorite was the bottle dance in Paraguay because I was able to pull it out and it saved us from being eliminated. My least favorite was the watermelons in Paraguay because of the heat and the time it took us to get it done. It was exhausting.
Vanessa: My favorite was dressing the elephants in India and my least favorite would obviously be those dang rubber chickens.

Kris J.: How do you keep up your nutrition when keeping your endurance?
Ralph: While we were racing we basically just ate anything we could.
Vanessa: Neither of us are really picky eaters so we ate anything that was in front of us. I think I gained weight on the Race because I was eating so frequently.

Denise B.: What is the most important thing you learned about yourself as well as your partner from this experience?
Vanessa: I'm more aware of the weight my words have and the way I make people feel when I say mean things. I'm significantly more aware of that now and I'm modifying that behavior.
Ralph: I don't necessarily think I learned anything new... it's just the ability to press through trying times.

Marisa H.:  Do you think you would've won if Vanessa didn't have an injured ankle?
Ralph: I don't think we can answer that. It is a huge what if. There are too many circumstances that come into play, but I think we would have given it a good run for the money.
Vanessa: I think it was a huge possibility. In the end I was the reason why we didn't make it to the final three and I feel horrible about that. I think if we had made it to the end we would have had a good shot at it.
