1. Was there anything you were surprised by between watching the show and actually being a racer on it?
Brodie: "The crew really stood out to me. They're so great and they are so crazy in-shape since they're pretty much doing what we're doing all while recording it and it's awesome. [Plus], the production team that puts together the entire race is incredible.
Also, [I was surprised by] how difficult the race actually is. Watching it on TV, everything looks so easy. Even on our season, people would ask us why we didn't do certain things, but when you're actually on the show, you're constantly stressed and tired and it's hard to make decisions. The elements of traveling—on top of having to do tasks in the dripping sweat—just makes everything harder."
Kurt: "People were telling me I looked tired toward the end of the race and it's true. I was exhausted!"
