Television's No. 1 comedy has officially broken a Guinness World Record—and it's all thanks to you, the fans.

Leaf through the Guinness World Records 2017 Edition and you'll find that "The Opening Night Excitation," which aired on December 17, 2015, drew the largest +7 live audience in TV history.

Live +7 ratings include viewing that takes place during the seven days following a telecast and, for this particular episode of The Big Bang Theory, over 24 million people tuned in to see Sheldon and Amy take their relationship to the next level.



It's true!

For five years, fans waited for ShAmy to do the deed and this highly anticipated episode definitely delivered. After all, not many people can say their first time won them a shiny certificate.



With numbers this good, maybe Jim Parsons will get his wish for another coitus scene!
