Grace Gummer made her professional acting debut in the Off-Broadway project “The Sexual Neuroses of Our Parents,” and completed a run as Hero in “Much Ado About Nothing” at the Kirk Douglas Theater in Los Angeles. She made her debut on Broadway as Chloë Coverly in Tom Stoppard's “Arcadia,” for which she won a Theatre World Award. She also appeared on Broadway opposite John Lithgow in Daniel Sullivan’s “The Columnist.”
Gummer appeared in Noah Baumbach’s feature “Frances Ha!” and recently wrapped the films “The Homesman,” opposite Hilary Swank and Tommy Lee Jones, and “Jenny’s Wedding,” with Tom Wilkinson and Katherine Heigl.
Gummer’s television credits include a starring role in the series “Gigantic” and a recurring role in “Smash” and “The Newsroom.”
Gummer was born in New York City, where she currently lives. Her birthday is May 9.
