After another failed attempt to defeat Red John, Jane quit the CBI and seemingly hit rock bottom with Lorelei, a Las Vegas cocktail waitress. But after Jane revealed to Lisbon that he faked his breakdown, together they plotted to bring down Red John together in an elaborate plan that involved Jane pretending to kill Lisbon and Rigsby. In the end, Wainwright was accidentally shot by the FBI, and Lorelei, one of Red John’s disciples, was taken into CBI custody.
