After being prodded by friends, Brooklyn Decker began modeling in her hometown of Charlotte, N.C. at the age of 16. Two years later, she moved to New York City, and began gracing the pages of magazines including Vogue, Elle, GQ, Glamour, Esquire, Cosmopolitan, PoP Magazine and Teen Vogue. Decker’s big modeling break came in 2006 when she first appeared in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. Her all-American look earned her a recurring spot in the 2007, 2008 and 2009 issues. In 2010, Decker appeared on the cover of the magazine and was named Esquire.com’s “Sexiest Woman Alive” and received the Spike TV Guys Choice “Hotter than Hell Award.” Shortly after securing the cover of Sports Illustrated, Decker starred in her first feature film, “Just Go with It,” earning her the Teen Choice Award for “Choice Movie Breakout: Female.” Additional feature film credits include “Battleship” and “What to Expect When You’re Expecting.” She will play the female lead in “Stretch,” to be released in 2014. Decker’s television credits include “New Girl,” “Chuck,” “Ugly Betty,” “Royal Pains” and “The League.” When not working, Decker is an avid sports fan, cheering on her favorite teams, the University of North Carolina Tar Heels and the Carolina Panthers. Inspired by her love of sports and her aunt’s personal struggles from being born without a corpus callosum in her brain, Decker became active in the Special Olympics in her hometown of Charlotte in 2004 and is now a global ambassador for the organization. She participated in a USO Tour in the Fall of 2012. In April 2009, Decker married professional tennis player Andy Roddick in a private ceremony in Austin. Currently, the couple lives in Los Angeles and Austin, Texas with their English bulldogs, Billie Jean and Bob Costas. Her birthday is April 12. Follow her on Twitter @BrooklynDecker.
