The 38th Annual Kennedy Center Honors is only a week away and we are pleased to announce the full list of presenters and performers set to hit the stage on Dec. 29.

Host Stephen Colbert—in addition to President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama—will be joined by the following A-list stars to pay homage to this year's group of honorees, which include...

Rita Moreno (Academy Award, Golden Globe Award, Emmy Award, Tony Award and GRAMMY Award-winning actress and singer) will be celebrated by:

  • Gina Rodriguez (Golden Globe Award-winning actress) will offer a spoken tribute
  • Rosie Perez (Academy and Emmy Award-nominated actress) will perform the song "Fever"
  • Lin-Manuel Miranda (Tony and GRAMMY Award-winning actor and singer) will offer a spoken tribute
  • Karen Olivo (Tony Award-winning actress and singer) will perform the song "America"
Seiji Ozawa (GRAMMY Award and Emmy Award-winning conductor) will be celebrated by these talented presenters and performers:
  • Itzhak Perlman (conductor and violinist awarded the 2015 Presidential Medal of Freedom) will offer a spoken tribute
  • Renée Fleming (opera singer) will offer a spoken tribute
  • Yo-Yo Ma (GRAMMY Award-winning cellist) will perform Tchaikovsky: "Andante Cantabile"
George Lucas (renowned filmmaker and recipient of a National Medal of Arts) will be celebrated by these talented presenters and performers:


  • Carrie Fisher (actress, novelist and screenwriter) will offer a spoken tribute
  • Mellody Hobson (wife of George Lucas) will offer a spoken tribute
  • Steven Spielberg (Academy Award-winning director and producer) will offer a spoken tribute
  • Martin Scorsese (Academy Award, Emmy Award and GRAMMY Award-winning director, producer and screenwriter) will offer a spoken tribute
  • C-3PO, R2-D2 and Stormtroopers will appear as special guests
  • Kennedy Center Honors Orchestra will perform themes from Indiana Jones and Star Wars


Then, country music superstar Miranda Lambert will honor The Eagles with a special tribute performance of the band's hit song "Desperado."







Cicely Tyson (Emmy Award and Tony Award-winning actress) will be celebrated by these talented presenters and performers:


  • Tyler Perry (Actor, filmmaker, writer and produce) will offer a spoken tribute
  • Viola Davis (Emmy Award and Tony Award-winning actress) will offer a spoken tribute
  • Kerry Washington (Emmy Award-nominated actress) will offer a spoken tribute
  • Terence Blanchard (GRAMMY Award-winning musician) will perform the song "My Funny Valentine"
  • CeCe Winans (GRAMMY Award-winning gospel singer) will perform the song "Blessed Assurance"
Carole King (GRAMMY Award-winning singer-songwriter, who was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame) will be celebrated by these talented presenters and performers:


  • John Kerry (U.S. Secretary of State) will offer a spoken tribute
  • Chilina Kennedy (Broadway actress and singer) and Scott J. Campbell (Broadway actor and singer) will perform a duet of the song "So Far Away"
  • Paul Anthony Stewart (Broadway actor and singer) will offer a spoken tribute
  • Janelle Monáe (musician and actress) will perform the songs "Will You Love Me Tomorrow" and "One Fine Day"

James Taylor (GRAMMY Award and Emmy Award-winning musician, who was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame) will perform the song "Up On The Roof"
