Erin Cummings gained international visibility in her role as Sura, the wife of Spartacus, in "Spartacus: Blood and Sand."
A graduate of the University of North Texas with a degree in journalism, she began her professional acting career when she was spotted by an L.A. talent scout while performing in community theater. She furthered her acting education at The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, where she specialized in Shakespearean Studies.
Recently, she completed work on the feature film "The Iceman," due out in 2013.
On the small screen she can be seen in an upcoming episode of "Major Crimes." Additional television credits include "Threshold" and "Cold Case," on the Network, "Pan Am," "Common Law," "Detroit 187," "Mad Men," "Dollhouse," "Star Trek: Enterprise," "Charmed," "Dante's Cove" and "Nip/Tuck."
Born in Lafayette, La., currently she resides in Los Angeles and New York, but frequently visits Detroit for her charity work. In November 2010 after living in Detroit while filming "Detroit 187," she founded Mittens For Detroit, a 501(c)(3) non-profit charity that collects and distributes new, unused gloves to children, seniors, veterans and families in need in Detroit during the winter.
