Melissa’s upbringing was centered around the family farm in Plainfield, Illinois. After earning her improv stripes in NYC's comedy scene, she headed west in the late '90s and joined the famed L.A. comedy theater, The Groundlings, which is where she also she met her frequent collaborator (and future husband) Ben Falcone.
“I never would have expected we’d be able to make our own movies and write them," Melissa said of the pair's projects, including Tammy and the upcoming comedy Michelle Darnell. "Being able to completely create them and watch these amazing characters come to life is surreal.”
