1. Can you tell us more about your unfortunate Survivor send-off?
Joe: "Well, my first thought was how painful the condition was. As the minutes went by, my body was retaining more and more fluid and, unfortunately, I couldn't pass any water. Also, my intestines were full of that wonderful meat from the night before. If I'm going to use a word to describe it all, it would be 'unbearable.'
[The doctor] did an assessment and said, 'If you let this condition go and something doesn't happen in the next couple of hours, [you'll] need to be catheterized and sent to the mainland in Cambodia.' And I went, 'Oh, well, I don't want that.' He gave me a window of a couple hours and, after a short time, I was transported to Ponderosa and met with my former tribe mates."
