A television reunion 30 years in the making will hit screens across America this Thursday when Pam Dawber guest stars on an all new The Crazy Ones! Robin Williams and Pam Dawber made their television debut on the well-known series “Mork & Mindy” back in 1978 and have not appeared on screen together since it ended its run in 1982. So was there any trepidation about working together again?
The decision to do the episode was an easy one for Dawber. “I wanted to see Robin," she said. "I wanted to work together again. That’s why I did it.”
And once the cameras were rolling, it was like no time had passed. “It felt like an old shoe, worn loosely. It’s hard to believe it was that many years ago,” Dawber continued. Robin Williams shared his costar's sentiments, saying, “Pam even looks the same. When she walked on set, I said 'Wow Dawber, look at you!'"
And while the actors agree that working together hasn’t changed, both the times and the conversations between takes have. “We have children who are as old as we were when we started on Mork & Mindy” said Williams. “When we first started, we were young and wild and crazy. Now we’re grown- ups. Our conversations are “how’s your health?” added Dawber.
As for what the fans can expect from the beloved duo’s onscreen reunion, Dawber was “absolutely delighted with the end result," while Williams teased that it was "Mork & Mindy back together. People will be very satisfied.”
