Audra McDonald will reprise the role of Liz Lawrence, a tough United States attorney, who fans first met in Season 4 of The Good Wife.

However, it just so happens that Lawrence is also the ex-wife of Adrian Boseman (Delroy Lindo), so there's a good chance viewers can expect plenty of sparks to fly between the former lovers as they deal with some of their unresolved issues.

"We're thrilled that Audra McDonald will return to the fictional Chicago of The Good Fight," said executive producers Robert and Michelle King. "After seeing her facility with both comedy and drama, we were dying for the chance to work with her again. Audra brings intelligence, strength, and wit to Liz Lawrence, the character she developed in the fourth season of The Good Wife."

In addition to winning a record six Tony Awards, McDonald is also a proud GRAMMY and Emmy Award winner. Plus, she was named one of Time magazine's "100 Most Influential People Of 2015" and received a 2015 National Medal of Arts.

McDonald is lauded for her performances in Carousel, Master Class, Ragtime, A Raisin In The Sun, The Gershwins' Porgy And Bess, and Lady Day At Emerson's Bar & Grill.

She has also appeared on Broadway in The Secret Garden, Marie Christine, Henry IV, 110 In The Shade, and Shuffle Along, Or, The Making Of The Musical Sensation Of 1921 And All That Followed.

McDonald joins an already stellar cast for The Good Fight, including Christine Baranski, Cush Jumbo, Rose Leslie, Lindo, Sarah Steele, and Justin Bartha.

Also returning for Season 2 of The Good Fight is fan favorite Julius Cain, played by Michael Boatman; plus, Nyambi Nyambi, who plays Jay, the firm's investigator, has also been upped to series regular.
