#PuberMe Blossoms Into $1 Million For Puerto Rico Hurricane Relief Over 200 celebrities shared their awkward teen photos for the fundraiser. You can still help, too!

We didn't have to make this awkward. We just wanted to.

Last week on The Late Show, Stephen Colbert pledged to give $1,000 to help Puerto Rico with hurricane relief for every celebrity who shared an awkward photo from their teenage years on social media (several of which we've embedded below). His guest that night, comedian Nick Kroll, had started the whole #PuberMe campaign to promote his new cartoon, Big Mouth. Stephen sweetened the deal with the offer to donate money from his AmeriCone Dream Fund—and Nick said he'd chip in, too.

Since then, more than 200 Stephen-approved celebrities have participated in #PuberMe. The full math was explained on Thursday night's show, but between Stephen, Nick, and the cast and crew of Big Mouth, their contributions add up to $333,000. Those funds are going to help Puerto Rico via the One America Appeal.

But wait ... there's more! CBS is matching their gifts with an additional $333,000. And it doesn't stop there. Because so many fans participated (over 75,000 tweets used #PuberMe), Stephen is kicking in another $333,000 from the AmeriCone Dream Fund. That's $999,000!

We know what you're thinking. It was really close to a million. Like, this close. Well, at the last second, there was this especially amazing submission by Lin-Manuel Miranda to put it over the top. He did it in person, and you can see the moment on Thursday night's show.
