Daytime Emmy® Winning Actor Darin Brooks Joins the Cast of THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL
May 16, 2013… Los Angeles, CA… Daytime Emmy® winning actor, Darin Brooks, has been cast in a contract role on THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL Executive Producer and Head Writer Bradley P. Bell announced today. Brooks will play “Wyatt Fuller”, a clever and mysterious young man who quickly catches the eye of “Hope Logan” (played by Kim Matula) and becomes embroiled in the lives of the Logans, Spencers and Forresters.
Brooks began taping on Wednesday, May 8th and his first episode is scheduled to air on Friday, June 21, 2013.
Best known for his portrayal as “Max Brady” on Days of Our Lives, for which he won a Daytime Emmy® as “Outstanding Younger Actor” in 2009, Brooks has also starred on Miss Behave, CSI: Miami, Castle and most recently as “Alex Moran” on Blue Mountain State. He has also starred in made-for-TV movies such as Bad Girls and The Seven Year Itch.

CBS’s hit daytime drama THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL received 15 nominations for the 40th Annual Daytime Entertainment Emmy® Awards, it was announced today.
THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL was nominated in the following categories:
Outstanding Drama Series: Bradley P. Bell, Executive Producer; Rhonda Friedman, Supervising Producer; Edward Scott, Supervising Producer; Ron Weaver, Senior Producer; Cynthia J. Popp, Casey Kasprzyk, Colleen Bell, Producers; Mark Pinciotti, Coordinating Producer. This marks the seventh nomination for B&B in this category, with three previous wins in 2009, 2010 and 2011.
Outstanding Drama Series Writing: Bradley P. Bell, Head Writer; Michael Minnis, Co-Head Writer; Kay Alden, Co-Head Writer; Patrick Mulcahey, Tracey Ann Kelly, Rex M. Best, John F. Smith, AdamDusevoir, Shannon Bradley and Michele Val Jean, Writers. This marks the ninth nomination for Bradley P. Bell and the B&B writing team in this category with one previous win in 2010.

This marks the eighth nomination for B&Bin this category, with a win in 2011.
Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series: Heather Tom as “Katie Logan”. This marks Tom’s 15th nomination, with four previous wins: 1993, 1999 (Y&R) in the Outstanding Younger Actress category; in 2011 in the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series category; and in 2012 in the Outstanding Lead Actress category. She is the only actor in Daytime Emmy® history to win in all three acting categories.
Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series: Susan Flannery as “Stephanie Forrester.” This marks Flannery’s tenth nomination in this category with four previous wins in 1975 (DOOL), 2000, 2002 and 2003.
Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series: Katherine Kelly Lang as “Brooke Logan”. This is Lang’s first nomination in this category.
Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series: Scott Clifton as “Liam Cooper, aka William Spencer, III.” This marks Clifton’s first nomination in this category, and five previous nominations in the category of Outstanding Younger Actor in a Drama Series, with a win in 2011.
Outstanding Younger Actress in a Drama Series: Jacqueline MacInnes Wood as “Steffy Forrester”. This is Wood’s second nomination in this category.
Outstanding Achievement in Hairstyling for a Drama Series: Michele L. Arvizo, Key Hairstylist; Audrey Soto, Adriana Lucio and Romaine Markus-Myers, Hairstylists. This marks the 12th nomination for B&B in this category, with five previous wins in 1996, 1998, 2009, 2010 and 2012.
Outstanding Achievement in Music Direction and Composition for a Drama Series: Lothar Struff, Music Supervisor; Bradley P. Bell, Jack Allocco and David Kurtz, Composers. This marks the fifth nomination for B&B in this category with two previous wins in 2010 and 2011.
Outstanding Achievement in Multiple Camera Editing for a Drama Series: Brian Bagwell, Jonathon Smilowitz, Zoe Edgerton and Sean-Michael Connor, Editors. This marks the 14th nomination for B&B in this category with four previous wins in 1994, 1995, 1997 and 2008.
Outstanding Achievement in Lighting Direction: Patrick Cuniff and Phil Callan. This marks the tenth nomination for B&B in this category with two previous wins in 1994 and 2006.
Outstanding Achievement in Technical Direction/Electronic Camera/Video Control for a Drama Series: Jim Dray, Technical Director; Gordon Sweeney, Ted Morales and Tom Luth, Camera Operators; Scha Jani and Roberto Bosio, Video Control. This marks the ninth nomination for B&B in this category with four previous wins in 1988, 1989, 1996 and 2003.
Outstanding Achievement in Costume Design for a Drama Series: Danielle King, Costume Designer. This marks the 16th nomination for B&B in this category with six previous wins in 1991, 1992, 1993, 2004, 2005 and 2006.
Outstanding Stunt Coordination for a Drama Series: Mike Cassidy and Mickey Cassidy, Stunt Coordinator. This is the second nomination for B&B in this category.
The 40th Annual Daytime Entertainment Emmy® Awards will take place on Sunday, June 16, 2013 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL Vies for Eighth Consecutive Worldwide Ratings Prize at 2013 Monte Carlo TV Festival
April 25, 2013–THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL has received its eighth consecutive nomination for the Monte Carlo Television Festival’s International TV Audience Awards in the “Telenovela/ Soap Opera” category. Winning this award for the last seven years, THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL remains the most watched series in the world, in its genre.
The 8th Annual TV Audience Awards category honors the programs that garnered the highest number of viewers worldwide in 2012 across five continents. The nominees were pre-selected among the 15 best-performing foreign fiction programs in 65 countries. The winners will be revealed at the 53nd Monte Carlo Television Festival Awards on Thursday, June 13, 2013, at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco.
Cast members Katherine Kelly Lang (“Brooke Logan”) and Don Diamont (“Bill Spencer, Jr.”) will attend the festival in the Principality of Monaco, as guests of H.S.H. Prince Albert II, from June 9-13, 2013. The two actors are set to attend the Opening Gala and Closing Award Ceremonies, as well as television appearances, a contest winner luncheon and press days.
THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL is hosting contest winners from Belgium and France, who will travel to the festival as part of their grand prize package, including a winner’s luncheon on Monday, June 10th, with the actors.
