Congratulations to actors Karla Mosley, Kristolyn Lloyd, Lawrence Saint-Victor and Aaron D. Spears for their nominations in the 45th Annual NAACP Image Awards for their roles on THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL. Mosley and Lloyd were nominated in the category of Outstanding Actress in a Daytime Drama Series and Saint-Victor and Spears in the category of Actor in a Daytime Drama Series . This is Mosley and Saint-Victor's first, Lloyd's second, and Spears' fourth NAACP Image Award Nomination. B&B has received 21 NAACP Image Award nominations since the show's inception in 1987, with one win, by the late William J. Bell in 1993, in the category ofOutstanding Daytime Drama Series. The NAACP Image Awards celebrates the accomplishments of people of color in the fields of television, music, literature and film and also honors individuals or groups who promote social justice through creative endeavors. Winners will be announced during the two-hour star-studded event, which will air live onSaturday, February 22, 2014 (8:00 p.m. ET live/PT tape-delayed) on TV ONE.
The Bold and the Beautiful and Publisher Pan Macmillan Strike Book Deal
In an announcement sure to excite fans of the Forresters, Logans, and Spencers the world over, Pan Macmillan and its digital-first imprint, Momentum, will release a series of novellas based on THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL.
According to the most recent statistics and Guinness World Records®, THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL is the world's most popular daytime TV soap opera. Since its first episode in 1987, THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL has won 52 Daytime Emmy® Awards and has established a daily viewership of 35 million globally.
The novellas, to be published simultaneously in print via Pan Macmillan and digitally via Momentum, will recount new love stories created through collaboration between established romance authors and THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL Executive Producer and Head Writer Bradley P. Bell. The first two titles, Forbidden Affair by Amy Andrews and Collision Course by Shannon Curtis, will be released in February 2014. The second two titles will follow in April.
"Love stories that have yet to be seen on television can now fully ignite between the covers of these novels," said Bell. "This partnership with Pan Macmillan and Momentum expands the choices our fans have to be entertained by the signature characters of THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL."
"Getting the opportunity to work with such a successful international brand as THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL and bring new stories to a global audience in print and digital is a hugely exciting experience for us all," said Joel Naoum from Momentum and Claire Craig from Pan Macmillan.
The deal comes as THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL approaches its 7000th episode and 27th year on air.
B&B Is Delivering Its Largest Audience to Start a Season Since 2007
Last Week, the Daytime Drama Scored its Largest Weekly Audience in Nearly Five Years
THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL is delivering its largest audience to begin a season since 2007, according to Nielsen most current ratings.
Season-to-date, THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL is averaging 3.75 million viewers, its largest audience since the start of the 2007 season and highest women 18-49 (1.1/07) since the beginning of the 2009 season. In women 25-54 (1.5/09), THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL is matching last season' start which was the best since the beginning of the 2009 television season.
Last week, THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL delivered 3.80 million viewers, it largest weekly audience since the week ending Jan. 30, 2009, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Nov.8.
Season-to-date, THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL is up +12% in viewers, +10% in women 18-49 and matching last year's women 25-54 rating.
B&B Baby Girl!
The Bold and the Beautiful star and Emmy® award-winning actor Jacob Young and his wife, Christen Young, welcomed their daughter Molly Lynn early this morning in Torrance, California. This is the second child for the couple who has been married since 2007.
Molly weighed 6 pounds 11 ounces. Molly, Christen, Jacob, and the couple's four-year-old son Luke, are all happy and healthy.

THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL Vies for Eighth Consecutive Worldwide Ratings Prize at 2013 Monte Carlo TV Festival
THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL has received its eighth consecutive nomination for the Monte Carlo Television Festival's International TV Audience Awards in the "Telenovela/ Soap Opera" category. Winning this award for the last seven years, THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL remains the most watched series in the world, in its genre.
The 8th Annual TV Audience Awards category honors the programs that garnered the highest number of viewers worldwide in 2012 across five continents. The nominees were pre-selected among the 15 best-performing foreign fiction programs in 65 countries. The winners will be revealed at the 53nd Monte Carlo Television Festival Awards on Thursday, June 13, 2013, at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco.
Cast members Katherine Kelly Lang ("Brooke Logan") and Don Diamont ("Bill Spencer, Jr.") will attend the festival in the Principality of Monaco, as guests of H.S.H. Prince Albert II, from June 9-13, 2013. The two actors are set to attend the Opening Gala and Closing Award Ceremonies, as well as television appearances, a contest winner luncheon and press days.
THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL is hosting contest winners from Belgium and France, who will travel to the festival as part of their grand prize package, including a winner's luncheon on Monday, June 10th, with the actors.
