Alicia's deep red one shoulder silk gown is by Roland Nivelais. It was really quite an amazing dress that hugged every curve, but, Julianna says, was extremely comfortable to wear.
Love Carrie Preston what can you tell us about her look Carrie is terrific. She and I go way back to theater days. So it's always fun to reconnect with actors in a different medium. Carrie's character, Elsbeth, is a bit of an odd duck - very smart, very savvy, but very quirky. However, we didn't want her look to be bizarre. The actress and the words will bring that angle to the character. We wanted her to look like she knows how to dress as a lawyer and how to dress for court. Perhaps the colors might be slightly off or the bags she always carries are a little eclectic, but overall, her look is professional with a little dash of flair. Of course, Carrie is so wonderfully long and lean, I wanted to put her in clothes that would accentuate her great physique. Slacks are terrific on her!
In the episode, her first look was a Bird by Juicy sheer leopard blouse with black Nanette Lepore wide legged trousers. Her second look was a sheer watercolor Perry blouse by Joie worn with a dark green wool blazer by Zara Woman and a tan double breasted trench coat by Luciano Barbera. Her last look in the episode was a tan nailhead notched lapel suit by Boss with a Joie peach silk "v" necked blouse with a pin tuck pleated front detail and a tie closure.

I always have to take into consideration the set colors when picking wardrobe. Alicia's whole look has changed this season, from her hairstyle to her wardrobe, which is more design detailed than in the past and a little more ensemble feeling than the mix and match look of the two previous seasons.
Highlights in this episode for Alicia included an amazing black Alexander McQueen form fitting dress. Her next office look was an LK Bennett navy suit. Her next look was a teal blue cashmere Max Mara jacket worn with a black stretch wool Akris skirt.
