Today, beauty expert Jenn Falik shares tips on how to change for the better by cleaning out the medicine cabinet.

Load up on multi-tasking products.
The space you have in your medicine cabinet is limited so you need to make the most of every inch you have. What you need to do is find products that do double duty. A great product that does this is the cleaning toilette. They are make-up and face cleaner in one. Next is a lip balm with SPF. Not only does it moisture your lips but also a small amount can smooth messy eyebrows and heal cracked cuticles. And the last multi-tasker every girl needs is Vaseline Total Moisture lotion. Vaseline Total Moisture is a great multi-tasker product. Not only does it feel good, but it also works well. So unlike some other lotions you don't have to choose between feeling good and working well because it feels good and does good.

Edit your shelf space.
Just like you edit your closet every few months you need to do the same with your medicine cabinet. You need to take a "use or it or lose it" approach with everything in there. If you haven't used something in three months, throw it out! In addition go through your medications and make sure you throw out expired medications and the cough syrup you used that last time you were sick.
You should also lose anything that is an "odd man out" and shouldn't be there. You have to purge things like batteries, sewing kits and nail clippers. Also take your perfume out of the bathroom! The humidity from your shower is destroying your fragrance! These things are taking up valuable real estate from your beauty products. This purge also allows you to refresh your products with all the new stuff that comes out every season.

Keep track of when products expire.
You need to keep on top of when you start using products so you know when they have gone bad. This is especially important for things like mascara and lipstick. These things come in contact with bacteria everyday so you need to make sure they are refreshed. I suggest you keep little white label stickers in your medicine cabinet so you can write down the expiration dates on the product. That way you always know when you should toss.
