Pregnancy may be a time for cravings, but fitness expert Teigh McDonough says it's more important than ever to have a healthy workout routine. Childbirth requires so much strength. The more in shape you are, the better you'll be. It'll get your through the whole process easier. These moves will keep expecting moms fit and strong as they prepare for the big day.

Cat Cow
It's great for pregnant women, or anyone with back pain and tension. You get on all fours. You arch your back and drop your belly down and look up (cow). Then round up, look towards your naval, and arch your back like a cat. It relaxes and strengthens your back.

Pointer
It's a core strengthening move - on all fours you reach one arm forward and point the opposite leg straight back. Hold that for 5-10 seconds, and then alternate. It's a safe core strength for pregnant women.

Stir the Pot
This move is good for releasing back and hip tension. It helps you to feel sexy and warm you up while slightly elevating the heart rate. You get in a squat position. Your legs are bent, hands above the knees. You "stir the pot" and circle your hips around. That position makes you do a little more work, without doing too much.

Pregnancy Plié
It's just like a second position plié.  Sweep your arms down and cross your arms in front of you and then cross your arms up.  Round your back forward. It's a leg strengthener. Feel like you're gathering energy up.

The Chug
It's a little bit funky. Part of what I do when I teach, pregnant women can feel sexy. It's a little bit sexy without being crazy! It's more of a cardio movement and more intense. Raise bent arms and extend one arm at a time while moving hips side to side.

Funky Mama March
This is a basic march done with some attitude. March right and left pumping the arms. This is for loosening up, working cardio vascular strength and feeling sexy.

5-Step Clap
Cardio is important, but you don't want to go too crazy. You want your heart rate to stay around 140. So this is a fun, cardio move. Step right clap, step left clap. But be sure to add all that hot mama flair.
