THE BLACKHEAD ELIMINATOR
By Louisa Graves
Ingredients:
1 slice of tomato
1 slice of grapefruit

To help banish blackheads and clogged pores you’ll need a tomato and a grapefruit. The natural acids in these fruits help unclog pores and reduce blackheads.
Rub a slice of tomato onto clean skin to coat blackheads and clogged pores. Wait two minutes until the tomato slightly dries. Then cut open and slice grapefruit and rub the juice overtop. Wait 5 minutes. Next, rinse with tepid water. Repeat this regimen three evenings in a row. On night three, your pores with be receptive to gentle squeezing, allowing easy release of the blackheads.

THE HAIR HYDRATOR
By Louisa Graves

Ingredients:
½ avocado
½ banana
1 tbsp. honey
1 tbsp. olive oil
1 plastic shower cap
1 towel

For those with dry, brittle, color-treated hair or split ends, my hair mask recipe is a super hydrator that adds shine and  helps smooth split ends for hours.
Mash the avocado and banana in a bowl. Then add honey and olive oil to make a mask. Massage the mask onto hair from scalp to ends. Next put on a shower cap. Warm a towel in the clothes dryer for 5 minutes, and wrap the warm towel around hair. After 30 minutes, rinse out the mask. Shampoo hair to remove any residual mask. Rinse hair with cool water, to help close the hair follicles. You’ll be left with shiny, hydrated hair and split ends will stay smooth for hours.

THE ROSY LIP ENHANCER
By Louisa Graves

Ingredients:
1 soft tooth brush
1 tsp. baking soda
1 beet
1 tbsp. clean water
1 clean eye shadow brush

Many women LOVE this natural rosy lip stain recipe. It lasts all day long! First, to prepare your lips so they are smooth, dip a clean, soft toothbrush into water, then apply baking soda and gently brush the lips. Then rinse and dry lips. Next, cut one slice of beet, dip a clean eye shadow brush into water, then rub the wet brush onto the beet slice in a circular motion, soaking up the beet juice. Apply to lips for a long-lasting, natural, rosy red stain that lasts for hours! For a darker shade of red, wait two minutes until the first coat dries, and apply another coat. For an even darker color, add a third coat.

THE ACNE SCAR ERASER
By Louisa Graves

Ingredients:
1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
2 tbsp. plain yogurt

This is an effective mask that helps fade dark acne and blemish scars.
Combine lemon juice with plain yogurt in a small bowl. Apply the mixture onto clean face and allow to dry for 30 minutes. The lactic acid in the yogurt helps to gently slough off scar tissue and the citric acid in the lemon juice gently bleaches dark acne and blemish scars, and brightens the skin tone. An added bonus of this mask is that you’ll also experience an instant face-lifting effect that lasts for hours!

THE FOOT SOFTENER
By Louisa Graves

Ingredients:
½ ripe papaya
1 cup of pineapple  (or 1 can of pineapple chunks in natural juice)
3 tbsp. sea salt
1 tbsp cayenne pepper
1 tbsp. white vinegar
This is a fantastic foot softener, dead skin eliminator and helps with circulation in the feet too.
In a blender or food processor combine the pulp of the papaya, the pineapple, sea salt, cayenne pepper and white vinegar. Blend until smooth. Split the mixture and place into two LARGE zip lock bags that are big enough to accommodate each foot. Secure the bags onto feet with rubber bands. Place a towel on the floor and rest feet in bags, on the towel. Move feet around and wiggle toes in the bags to help soften and eliminate dead skin and to create circulation. Rinse mixture off after 30 minutes. Papaya and pineapple are loaded with skin softening enzymes and can help banish the toughest thick skin on feet. The salt exfoliates and the cayenne pepper heats the feet creating better circulation.
