Duff Goldman Cake Tips

Posted on Jul 26, 2012 11:00am

We had a great time making cakes with Duff Goldman on the show.  For those of you at home, here are some more cake tips to be the best baker you can be!

Tips from Duff -

*If you don’t have a set of circle cutters to cut your fondant, you can use a cup or cake pan to use as a stencil for cutting.

*If you don’t have piping bags you can cut the corner off of a freezer storage bag for piping.

*If you don’t have a paintbrush, you can use a cotton swab and food coloring for applying color on your cake.

*Always keep your home cool -- below 68 degrees -- so your decorations and cake stay dry and don’t get sticky or melt.

*After you make fun fondant flowers, you can store them in an old egg carton and they will keep their shape and stay intact for the next time you want to use them.
