The Talk - Aisha Tyler on Past Infertility & Three-Person IVF Option: "I would adopt"
Air Date: 09/28/16
The hosts discuss a controversial new genetic procedure that synthetically creates a baby with 3 different DNA sources. Aisha Tyler reflects on her own experience with fertility treatment: "I kind of dipped my toe into the water of IVF (In Vitro Fertilization) and decided that it wasn't for me," she says. "I didn't feel that intense urge to be a parent... for me personally, I would never do this. But if I felt that urge, and it was so passionate, and it was all-consuming and it was all I can think about, 'I have to have a baby and it has to be genetically mine,' I can see why this family did it... But my point is, there are plenty of babies out there who need a home, and for me if I was at this point, I would adopt."
