Tristan Rogers returned to THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS as Colin Atkinson in February 2014. Colin recently remarried Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) and is trying to mend fences with his son Cane Ashby (Daniel Goddard).
Rogers began his career in the entertainment industry in the 1960s in his native Australia. He started by working first in a rock band of the era and then realizing this wasn’t going anywhere moved into commercial work. This supplemented his musical earnings quite well but it wasn’t enough and so as television was moving ahead he decided to try his hand at acting.
He had been in the US about a year when he auditioned for a role on a show called “General Hospital” which would become pivotal in his life. What was initially a three-show gig turned into a three-year contract, and Rogers portrayed a character called Robert Scorpio. Scorpio became a significant presence on the show throughout the 80’s until present.
In addition to General Hospital Tristan appeared in several prime time television shows and feature motion picture roles. Rogers as well co-created the Showtime series “Fast Track” which aired for 22 episodes. Tristan also appeared a Web based production called “The Bay”.
Tristan Rogers became involved with the American Cinema Awards Foundation. As the vice president and director of shows, he helped raise more than $4 million for the Motion Picture Retirement Home and Hospital.
He is happily married to his wife Teresa of 19 years and has two children Sara and Cale.
