Why the Boss wants to go undercover:
Moe’s has grown rapidly since 2002 and there is no room for mistakes when it comes to service and food quality. Paul wants to make sure that the employees of the company are not falling short of the brand standards. Paul looks forward to the opportunity to change some associates lives just like his father’s boss helped their family when his brother was in need of a liver transplant.
Jobs he will do undercover:
Shift Supervisor – For Paul, supervisors who treat his or her employees with respect translates to sincere customer service for each guest that walks through the door. How will the boss react when one of his supervisors isn’t making the cut?
Manager– As a fast-casual restaurant Moe’s is committed to quality service by greeting the guest, serving the guest and cashing the guest out in under three minutes. What will the boss discover about the fast-paced environment while working with this compassionate single mother?
Catering Director – Catering accounts for 8 percent of Moe’s overall sales, which is less than desirable for Paul. He is working to improve this number and make Moe’s a household name. Will the boss’s nerves get the better of him as he goes into local businesses to market the catering side of Moe’s?
Line Worker– Food quality is essential for Moe’s. Having standardized recipes and the way the food is presented are important elements in representing the brand consistently in every restaurant. Will the boss’s standards be met when he works to prepare the restaurant for the day?
Tito, Shift Supervisor: 19-year-old Tito was recently promoted to manager and abuses his power by behaving rudely toward his co-workers.
Angelisa, Manager: Perky sprite Angelisa is the perfect fit for Moe’s lively atmosphere. Every greeting of “Welcome to Moe’s!” is absolutely genuine, making this hard working single mom a ray of sunshine.
Janet, Catering Director: Janet has dedicated her life to making Moe’s catering the best that it can be, pounding the pavement as the “Mayor of Moe’s” to make sure that everyone in town knows and loves the brand.
Damon, Line Worker: Damon possesses a dedicated work ethic, from the tiring and repetitive tasks in the kitchen to customer satisfaction on the line. He supports his five-year-old daughter by working long hours, and he often has to bring her to work with him.
