Steve has a Bachelor's Degree in commerce from the University of Virginia. He has also completed graduate work at Cornell University, Wharton Business School and the Aspen Institute.
Why the boss wants to go under cover:
Steve wants to go undercover to get a first hand look to see if the hotels around the country are living up to company standards. Through his experience, Steve plans to find out what is working and more importantly what's not. As if working in the hotels wasn't enough, he'll be spending his time off as an undercover guest.
Jobs he'll do under cover:
Maintenance Worker: Steve will maintain the common areas including cleaning the pool in 100 degree weather. His other duties include unclogging toilets, repairing broken locks and trying to keep up with his energetic supervisor.
House Keeper: Steve will learn that changing sheets and cleaning bathrooms in the allotted time may be more physically demanding than he ever imagined.
Sales: Can Steve sell his product through a cold call or will he come up empty?
Front Desk Clerk: Steve receives a first-hand look at what it takes to run a hotel when you're the only employee in the property working the night shift.
