HE'S SLUNG SLINGBACKS. He's delivered double-crust pies. He's busked New York City's streets and subways. He's played in bands. Now the actor works the camera for a living and solves crimes on CBS' top-rated action drama, NCIS.
Much like his charismatic character Special Agent Anthony "Tony" DiNozzo, Michael Weatherly isn't afraid to work hard for the money-and, luckily for him, the persistence paid off. His big break? A minor television part as Theo Huxtable's college roommate on The Cosby Show. From there he nabbed the role of Cooper Alden on Loving and, later, The City, and made regular appearances in shows such as Ally McBeal, The Crow, Charmed and Jesse. In 2000, he starred as Logan Cale on Dark Angel, earning him three award nominations.
Weatherly claims his love for Magnum, P.I. helped him get the part of DiNozzo, the ex-homicide detective whose sharp skills and quick wit make him a team favorite. When not working, Weatherly's hanging out in his Los Angeles home with his family and two beloved German shepherds, Oriana and Quantum.
