Any fan of The Big Bang Theory knows how much Sheldon Cooper loves and reveres his grandmother—or, "Meemaw," as he calls her.

Well, it looks like that smart-talking, butterscotch-toting Texan will make an appearance on Young Sheldon, too, and fans can get a sneak peek at the new series with the special one-time premiere airing on Monday, Sept. 25 at 8:30/7:30c, immediately following the Season 11 premiere of The Big Bang Theory!

Famed film and TV actress Annie Potts has been tapped to play the Cooper matriarch on the new series, which stars Iain Armitage as the genius-level titular character.

On Young Sheldon, Potts will adopt the role of mother to Mary Cooper (Zoe Perry) and is set to be a supportive presence for the extraordinary young Sheldon as he attempts to navigate the choppy waters of public high school in football-crazed East Texas.​

Watch the special one-time series premiere of Young Sheldon on Monday, Sept. 25 at 8:30/7:30c, immediately following the Season 11 premiere of The Big Bang Theory, on CBS and CBS All Access.

Then, on Nov. 2, the new series begins in its regular time period on Thursdays at 8:30/7:30c on CBS and CBS All Access.
