Ellen DeGeneres will host THE 53RD ANNUAL PRIMETIME EMMY AWARDS, to be broadcast from the Shubert Theatre in Los Angeles.

DeGeneres, starring in THE ELLEN SHOW on CBS this fall, produced and starred in the series Ellen, for which she won both a People's Choice Award and an Emmy Award. She was also nominated for four other Emmys, two Golden Globes and two Screen Actors Guild Awards.

This year's Emmy Awards presenters include Jessica Alba, Martin Sheen, Calista Flockhart, Lorraine Bracco, David Copperfield, Edie Falco, James Gandolfini, Kelsey Grammer, Marg Helgenberger, Sarah Jessica Parker, William Petersen and Sela Ward.

The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (ATAS), founded in 1946, is a non-profit organization devoted to the advancement of telecommunications arts and sciences and to fostering creative leadership in the telecommunications industry.
