| Morgan Freeman stars in this action thriller prequel to the 1997 film Kiss the Girls as Washington, D.C. police detective and psychologist Dr. Alex Cross. Still reeling from the dramatic death of his partner in a botched sting operation, Cross is reluctantly called back into action when the 12-year-old daughter (Mika Boorem) of a powerful U.S. Senator is kidnapped from her posh private school, right under the nose of Secret Service Agent Jezzie Flannigan (Monica Potter), who's been assigned to protect her. Cross teams up with Flannigan to find the missing girl, but when they identify and begin to track down the culprit, Gary Soneji (Michael Wincott), a teacher at the prep school, Cross begins to realize there may be more to the kidnapping than meets the eye.
