Alicia Silverstone's acting career began at the tender age of six when her dad took some photos of his young daughter, which he used to get her work in television commercials (the first of which was for Domino's Pizza). After a guest spot on TV's The Wonder Years, she landed a part in the feature The Crush. Two years later came her real breakthrough role, "Cher" in Amy Heckerling's Clueless. That, in turn, led to "Batgirl" in Batman & Robin. Subsequent feature films include Blast from the Past, Love's Labor's Lost, Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed, Beauty Shop and the recent Stormbreaker.



Eion Bailey began acting in high school drama productions, and studied formally at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City. He appeared in a cameo role in Cameron Crowe's Almost Famous, as Rolling Stone founder and editor Jan Wenner. Subsequent features included Center Stage, Fight Club, The Young Unknowns, The Scoundrel's Wife and Renny Harlin's Mindhunters. On television, he appeared in the series ER, the miniseries Band of Brothers and the film And Starring Pancho Villa as Himself, opposite Antonio Banderas.



Polly Bergen began her career at age 14 as a radio performer. Her first onscreen appearance in a feature film occurred in 1949; she played a cantina singer in Across the Rio Grande. Television, however, is the medium for which she is best known. She appeared in many iconic series of the 1950s and '60s: Schlitz Playhouse of the Stars, G.E. Theater, The United States Steel Hour, The Bell Telephone Hour, and won an Emmy Award for her work in Playhouse 90. She hosted The Polly Bergen Show, and also appeared in Wagon Train, Dr. Kildare, The Love Boat, Fantasy Island, Murder, She Wrote, Touched by An Angel, The Sopranos and, most recently, Commander in Chief. In 2001 she was nominated for a Best Actress Tony Award for her work in the Broadway revival of Stephen Sondheim's musical, Follies.



Annabeth Gish has worked with Candles on Bay Street director John Erman twice before, in the television movie The Last to Go and in the miniseries Scarlett. She grew up in Iowa and knew from the first time she saw a play, at age nine, that she wanted to act. She first came to the attention of national critics and audiences at age 13 in the feature Desert Bloom, in a performance Roger Ebert called "of stunning power." She was also recognized for her poignant portrayal of "Kat" in Mystic Pizza. In 1989, Gish took a break from her career to study at Duke University, where she graduated cum laude with a degree in English. She immediately resumed her career, playing Julie Nixon Eisenhower in Oliver Stone's Nixon. She starred opposite Dana Delaney and Angelina Jolie in the miniseries True Women; series credits include The X Files, West Wing and, most recently, Brotherhood.



Matthew Knight lives on a 50-acre farm near Sutton, Ontario. With three brothers and four sisters, he is the youngest of eight children. Matthew is in grade seven; his favorite subjects are math, science and French. He is torn between a professional future playing hockey or acting. Right now he's leaning toward acting.



James Rebhorn has appeared in almost 50 feature films, beginning with The Yum-Yum Girls in 1976. Subsequent features include Silkwood, Regarding Henry, My Cousin Vinny, Basic Instinct, Scent of a Woman, Lorenzo's Oil, Carlito's Way, Guarding Tess, Independence Day, The Talented Mr. Ripley, Meet the Parents, Far From Heaven and Cold Mountain. He has worked in many TV series, including Kate & Allie, Spenser: For Hire, Wiseguy, Seinfeld, The Practice, Third Watch and Law & Order. Films for television include two Hallmark Hall of Fame productions, Sarah, Plain & Tall and Skylark, as well as Deadly Matrimony, A Bright Shining Lie and Reversible Errors.
