Harvey Korman

Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, Korman was encouraged by his seventh grade teacher to attend drama school. After graduation from Goodman Theatre, Korman went to New York and began studying with Uta Hagen. Korman was first cast on "The Red Skelton Show," which led Korman to a four-year stint doing sketch comedy on "The Danny Kaye Show," which in turn led to being cast on "The Carol Burnett Show."

Korman spent ten years on the Burnett Show, winning a Golden Globe and becoming one of the acknowledged masters of sketch comedy. A favorite of director Mel Brooks, Korman starred in "Blazing Saddles," "High Anxiety" and "History of the World: Part I."

Korman's other film credits include "Trail of the Pink Panther," "Radioland Murders" and "Jingle All the Way." He also appeared as a regular on television's "Mama's Family."
