When Dianne Parker marries Mark McCune, their lives couldn't be more perfect. They are young and in love and the world is truly their oyster. But fate intervenes when it is revealed that Dianne is pregnant with a child who will be born with multiple disabilities. Dianne is determined to have the baby, but Mark runs away, unable to face what will certainly be a difficult situation.
 Challenging though the condition of young Julia is, Dianne loves her daughter dearly, as does her mother, Hannah, and Mark's brother, David, the child's pediatrician. David, unbeknownst to Dianne, has carried a torch for her for a long time and, in his quiet, down-to-earth manner, is always there for her and Julia.
Hannah realizes that David is in love with Dianne and tries to get them together, but Dianne strongly resists her mother's efforts and, though she will not admit it, still holds out hope that Mark may come around. Will Dianne ever be able to see that David could be the one to complete her life? |
