THE BALLET
Ricky is seeking a ballet dancer and a burlesque comic for his nightclub act. Eager to get into the act, Lucy enrolls in a dance class to perfect her ballet skills. When that fails, she enlists the aid of a burlesque comic to perfect a comedy routine. Ethel calls Lucy to tell her that a sick performer needs to be replaced in Ricky's show that night. Lucy assumes it's the comic for whom she will be filling in, but finds that in truth a ballet dancer is needed.
Classic Scenes: Lucy practicing at the ballet bar and the "Slowly I Turn" "pie-in-the-face" routine with the burlesque comic.

THE FREEZER
Lucy and Ethel purchase a huge walk-in freezer from Ethel's uncle and proceed to order two "sides of beef," thinking that the quantity of meat ordered is minimal. When 700 pounds of meat arrive, the women decide to store it in an attempt to hide it from Ricky and Fred. Lucy chooses the furnace as the hiding place, and then gets locked in the freezer.
Classic Scenes: Lucy and Ethel trying to sell the beef at a competitor's butcher shop; Lucy being frozen when she is inadvertently locked in the freezer.

LUCY DOES A TV COMMERCIAL
Ricky is hosting a television special, and Lucy wants to participate as the commercial spokesperson. Ricky relents under the pressure of time, and Lucy does a commercial for Vitameatavegamin, a drink that, unbeknownst to Lucy, contains 23% alcohol. While rehearsing the commercial, Lucy becomes progressively more inebriated. Classic Scene: Lucy rehearsing, confusing the words, slurring her speech in a valiant attempt to perform the Vitameatavegamin commercial.
