BON VOYAGE
The Ricardos and the Mertzes are off to Europe. After a party in their stateroom, the couples stand on deck to wave goodbye to Little Ricky. Wanting one more goodbye hug from her son, Lucy goes back down to the dock, gets her skirt caught in a bicycle, misses the boat and must find a way to the return to the ship as it cruises out to sea.
PARIS AT LAST
In Paris, a Frenchman on the street convinces Lucy to let him help her by exchanging her dollars for francs. With her newfound wealth, Lucy buys some paintings, then lunches at a typical French café, where she learns that her francs are counterfeit. Lucy is arrested and ends up in a Parisian police station, trying to explain her predicament. Chaos ensues, and Ricky saves the day.
LUCY'S ITALIAN MOVIE
An Italian movie director invites Lucy to appear in a movie entitled Grapola Pungente, which Lucy interprets to mean "bitter grapes." Costumed in typical peasant clothing, Lucy proceeds to Turo, a small Italian town were the locals use traditional winemaking methods at their vineyard. When Lucy is chosen to work in a large vat of grapes, she has a messy fight with a co-worker inside the vat. Lucy returns to Rome, only to learn that the part in the movie is that of an American tourist. The movie's plot has absolutely nothing to do with making wine. Classic Scene: Lucy and the local woman working and fighting in the vat of grapes.
