The 3rd Annual Latin Grammy Awards will be hosted by international superstar Gloria Estefan and Emmy Award-winner Jimmy Smits.
Gloria Estefan is a Grammy and Latin Grammy Award winner whose English- and Spanish-language albums have sold over 70 million worldwide. Estefan is also involved in many humanitarian efforts, including her role as founder of the Gloria Estefan Foundation, whose aim is to reach those who struggle outside the safeguards of society by promoting good health, education and cultural development. As a singer/songwriter/actor/humanitarian, she has firmly established herself as a role model in the Latin community and around the world.
Jimmy Smits won an Emmy Award for "L.A. Law" (1986) and Golden Globe Award for "NYPD Blue" (1996). He has received an Emmy Award nomination for every year he appeared on television. He also recently starred in the feature film "Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones." Smits is a co-founder of the National Hispanic Foundation for the Arts, which increases access for Hispanic artists and professionals while fostering the emergence of new Hispanic talent.
