NATHAN
When Nathan met Rose, he was an aspiring book editor. Steady and solid, he worked his way up the ranks of the city's newspaper. Now, twenty-five years later, he is editor of the entire paper and settled into a comfortable, predictable life with Rose. They have been happy together, but now, in middle age, he finds himself craving something new and exciting. Nathan has fallen in love with Rose's 29-year-old assistant Mindy and is embarking on a classic mid-life crisis.


Brian Kerwin was born and grew up in the Chicago suburb of Flossmoor and attended the University of Southern California, graduating with a degree in cinema. He made his stage debut in "Comings and Goings" in 1974. He was soon cast in the role of Greg Foster in the daytime drama THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS.

Kerwin just finished two years starring as Rob Malone in the critically acclaimed series "Beggars and Choosers." His other television credits include "Flash," "Unlikely Angel," "Critical Choices," "Fire on the Mountain," "It Came from Outer Space," "Switched at Birth," and the CBS movies "Sins of Silence" and "Cobb's Law." He starred with Michelle Pfeiffer in "Natica Jackson" for PBS's Great Performance series. His other mini-series credits include "Challenger," "Blue Grass," "The Chisolms" and "The Blue and the Gray." He also starred on the CBS series "Lobo" and "Angel Falls," had a recurring role on "Roseanne," as well as roles in "Law and Order: Special Victims Unit" and "The West Wing."

Kerwin's most recent project was Showtime's highly acclaimed film "Common Ground." Aside from having a lead role in that movie, he was also its Executive Producer. Other film projects include "Jack," the Academy Award winning short film "Mr. Jealousy," "The Myth of Fingerprints," "Getting Away with Murder," "Gold Diggers," "Love Field," "Hard Promises," "Murphy's Romance," "King Kong Lives" and "Torch Song Trilogy."

Kerwin's extensive stage credits include "The Goat, or Who Is Sylvia?" at ACT in Seattle, "Glimmer, Glimmer and Shine" at Manhattan Theatre Club, and the lead role in the Pulitzer Prize winning drama "How I Learned to Drive" at the Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles. He also co-starred at the Forum with Glenda Jackson and John Lithgow in "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?" directed by its author Edward Albee. He made his Broadway debut in "The Little Foxes" at Lincoln Center. Other New York credits include "One Shoe Off" at the New York Shakespeare Festival, and for the Manhattan Theatre Club, he starred in "Lips Together Teeth Apart" and "Emily," for which he won a Theatre World Award. He also appeared in the play "Raised in Captivity" at the Vineyard Theater. Other Los Angeles and San Diego productions include "The Subject was Roses," "The Incredibly Famous Willy Rivers," and his award winning performance in "Strange Snow."

Kerwin resides in New York with his wife, producer, Jeanne Kerwin, and their three children.
