Emil Maurice was born on January 19, 1897. A watchmaker, Maurice joined the Nazi Party in 1919. He was Hitler's chauffeur and the Nazi leader was reportedly very fond of Maurice until the young man showed an interest in Hitler's half-niece, Geli. Hitler immediately dismissed Maurice and threatened to have him shot if he and Geli ever saw one another again. |
