Leaf through the Guinness World Records 2017 Edition and you'll find that "The Opening Night Excitation," which aired on December 17, 2015, drew the largest +7 live audience in TV history.

Live +7 ratings include viewing that takes place during the seven days following a telecast and, for this particular episode of The Big Bang Theory, over 24 million people tuned in to see Sheldon and Amy take their relationship to the next level.
