19 Things You Didn't Know About Luke Bryan

At this year's ACM Honors, country superstar Luke Bryan is set to perform alongside Lady Antebellum, Blake Shelton, Jason Aldean, Keith Urban, and more! So, in anticipation of the special event, let's learn a little more about the smiley singer/songwriter.

In an interview with Yahoo!, Luke said he chows down on a big bag of plain potato chips before every show. His guilty pleasure, though, is movie popcorn.

Even though this country crooner is a total pro, he isn't above getting butterflies before taking the stage. Sure, it's not the best feeling, but Luke likes the rush, saying, "I've had panic attacks, you know, before big moments, and that's kinda fun."

If you were to check his driver's license, you'd see the name "Thomas Luther Bryan." However, when he was a youngin, kids would tease him with the nickname "Lex Luther," so, somewhere along the way, this 40-year-old country crooner dropped the Thomas Luther in favor of just plain Luke.

Unlike Luke, who hated his nickname growing up, the singer has established more adorable pet names for his two sons, Thomas (aka "Bo-Bo") and Tatum (also known as "Tater Bug").

Not only does the singer have his wife Caroline's initial tattooed under his wedding ring, but he also admitted to having an additional set of his lady's initials inked on his backside. Looks like this Southern gentleman is branded—and loving it!

As a child, Bryan's first cassette tape was Michael Jackson’s Thriller, which he loved so much, he admitted to taking any—and all—opportunities to moonwalk, even if it was to the pencil sharpener and back.

While attending Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, Georgia, he joined the Sigma Chi fraternity. Not only did Bryan graduate with a bachelor's degree in business administration, but he also left with a band of lifelong brothers.

When Luke was just 12 years old, he already had a job where he stocked and cleaned up at the local grocery store in his hometown of Leesburg, Georgia.

The fun-loving name of this Bryan song doesn't exactly represent the ballad's depth, seeing that he recorded the mournful song for his brother and sister, both of whom died tragically and far too young.

In 2009, Bryan (pictured here with Florida Georgia Line), who happens to be the son of a farmer, started performing an annual concert series as a way to raise money for the farming industry and a portion of the proceeds goes towards funding the Luke Bryan Farm Tour Scholarship.

In an interview with The Boot, Luke compared himself to the lovable lead character in Forrest Gump because "the whole Southern aspect of his character and for some reason [he] always wind[s] up on the better end of all deals… [he's] just got the old silly boy luck!"
