1. Chilltown

Arguably the greatest alliance in Big Brother history, Chilltown teamed Dr. Will Kirby and Mike “Boogie” Malin in season 2, with the doctor eventually winning. Their bond was so strong that the two continued their bromantical alliance on Big Brother All-Stars, where Boogie was victorious.

2. The Quack Pack

2. The Quack Pack

Birthed in week four of Big Brother 14, the Quack Pack consisted of five Houseguests that won a total of 18 competitions. Of the five Quack Pack-ers, only Britney Haynes failed to reach the final four. Ian Terry won the season, while his fellow alliance member Dan Gheesling (winner of Big Brother 10) was the runner-up.

3. The Detonators

3. The Detonators

After the Bomb Squad alliance blew up because of Devin Shepherd’s betrayal, a new five-member alliance called The Detonators was formed. Despite a handful of attempts to backdoor fellow members of the alliance, four of the five Detonators made the final four, including Derrick Levasseur and Cody Calafiore, who reached the final two.

4. The Hitmen

4. The Hitmen

Cody Calafiore and Derrick Levasseur’s secret sub-Detonators alliance dubbed The Hitmen has to be considered one of the best duos ever on Big Brother. The two were the masterminds behind nearly every eviction. Derrick and Cody’s alliance worked out swimmingly for the two, as Derrick took home the $500,000 grand prize and Cody finished second.

5. The Renegades

5. The Renegades

Like The Hitmen, Big Brother 10’s The Renegades featured the dynamic duo that made the final two. After being nominated in week 4, Dan Gheesling (America’s Player) persuaded the house to save Memphis Garrett from eviction. The rest was history, as the two won several Head of Household and Power of Veto competitions. Dan defeated his ally in a unanimous 7-0 vote to win the season.

6. The Brigade

6. The Brigade

Alliances are based on trust and loyalty in the Big Brother house. The Brigade alliance flourished without a member facing off against another on the nomination block until the sixth week. The team had its fair share of drama, but a trio from The Brigade made the final three. Hayden Moss narrowly defeated his ally, Lane Elenburg, 4-3 to win Big Brother 12

7. The Exterminators

7. The Exterminators

After the “McCranda” showmance took its toll on the house, four Houseguests decided to team up against the power couple. In a coup for The Exterminators, two of the alliance’s three rivals were sent packing in a week 10 double elimination. Three of the four Exterminators made the final four, and Andy Herren won the season.

8. Danielle Reyes and Jason Guy

8. Danielle Reyes and Jason Guy

In Big Brother 3, Houseguests Danielle Reyes and Jason Guy created such a super secret alliance it didn’t even garner a catchy name. Jason was the third to last to be evicted, while Danielle was named the runner-up. Danielle's game play was so strong that many believe her to be the best Big Brother Houseguest to never win.

9. Legion of Doom

9. Legion of Doom

Following the incredibly popular season of Big Brother 6, four Houseguests from that season were invited back to live in the house on Big Brother: All-Stars. The four members of season 6 outnumbered the rest of the house, but James Rhine defected from the group to join The Legion of Doom manned by Will Kirby, Mike Boogie and Danielle Reyes. Once James joined the L.O.D., the power of the house shifted, but he was later betrayed by the Chilltown part of the alliance.

10. Girl Power / Elite Eight

10. Girl Power / Elite Eight

In one of the biggest twists in Big Brother history, season 4 featured Houseguests that would be living with their exes. The original Houseguests were informed of the news and decided to create the Elite Eight alliance to combat the incoming exes. After a series of betrayals, The Elite Eight collapsed, until Alison Irwin, Erika Landin and Jun Song resurrected the team and renamed the alliance Girl Power. Girl Power finished the job that the Elite Eight started by evicting the exes. Alison and Jun eventually made the final two, with the latter winning the grand prize.

11. The Friendship / Nerd Herd

11. The Friendship / Nerd Herd

Big Brother 6 showcased two major alliances battling it out: The Sovereign Six and The Friendship. With power swinging back and forth between the two, The Friendship alliance was able to stay intact after three of the six Houseguests made the final four. Maggie Ausburn won the $500,000 check over fellow alliance member Ivette Corredero.

12. The Six-Finger Plan Alliance

In the fifth week of Big Brother 5, Nakomis Dedmon invented the popular “backdoor” plan that is still used in the game today. The six-finger plan called for Nakomis to nominate two of her alliance members in attempt to win the Power of Veto and evict Jase Wirey.  The plan worked like a charm and is the stuff of Big Brother lore.
