You might know Nyambi Nyambi as investigator Jay DiPersia on The Good Fight (or Samuel on Mike & Molly!), but did you know that Nyambi originally hails from Norman, Oklahoma?

He grew up in Houston and Dallas, and then attended high school in Fairfax County, Virginia before heading up north for college and grad school.

There must be something in the water—or peaches—in Georgia because some of the most talented entertainers hail from there. In addition to country artists like Alan Jackson, Jason Aldean, and Trisha Yearwood, actress Carrie Preston also comes from The Empire State of the South. 

Many fans know Preston from her role as Arlene Fowler in the deep-fried vampire drama, True Blood. 

Most recently, this spunky redhead returned to the small screen to reprise her role as Elsbeth Tascioni on The Good Fight, which she originated in its predecessor series The Good Wife.

Born in Washington, D.C., The Late Show host Stephen Colbert spent his childhood in South Carolina.
