ICYMI: Most Watercooler-Worthy Moments from BB17, Ep. 8
1. James didn't know what a phone booth was.
Sure, phone booths aren't as ubiquitous as they were, say, 20 years ago, but we still can't get over James' hilarious reaction to the antiquated object, which he called a "big, red, boxy thing."
2. Clay had a soft spot for the number seven.
During Kathy Griffin's "Power Of The Last Laugh" challenge, Clay was determined to be the seventh Houseguest to answer Kathy's call because that's always been his lucky number.
Unfortunately for him, Da'Vonne also had a personal attachment to that particular digit and answered the phone before he had a chance. Sorry, Clay, but it looks like the odds weren't in your favor on this one.
3. The Houseguests grew suspicious of Liz.
Feeders have been watching the Twin Twist unfold over the last week and it looks like the Houseguests are on to it, too. Da'Vonne was one of the first people to think Liz might be playing with her sister, and became especially suspicious when she noticed slight physical differences between the pair.
Can you tell Liz and Julia apart?
4. Da'Vonne got evicted.
Even though Da'Vonne won the "Power Of The Last Laugh," it couldn't save her from being booted from the house. However, Julie Chen and the live audience couldn't have been more excited to chat with the new mom after her eviction.
5. Football star Rob Gronkowski wanted to party with the Houseguests.
After the Houseguests said their goodbyes to Da'Vonne, they received a visit from reigning Super Bowl champion Rob Gronkowski, who's in charge of this week's BB Takeover. For his party-themed challenge, the New England Patriots tight end forced the Houseguests to compete in a game called "Gronk Pong," which required them to shoot small balls into big cups. The two people with the highest scores would then win HoH.
6. Austin and Vanessa win Gronk's HoH competition.
In what ended up being a total nail-bitter of a competition—mostly thanks to an initial three-way tie for second place between Vanessa, Liz, and James—the Las Vegas DJ ended up sharing the HoH crown with Austin.
