16 Facts You Didn't Know About Big Brother

Plenty of history has been made in the Big Brother house over the course of the show's 20 seasons. Here are some of the most notable records, important moments and stunning Big Brother game feats that you definitely need to know.

Season 16 alum Frankie Grande won five HoH competitions, but two of those reigns were cut short by the Battle of the Block. Nine people have won four HoHs in a single season: Drew Daniel (Season 5), Janelle Pierzina (Season 7), Hayden Moss (Season 12), Rachel Reilly (Season 13), Ian Terry (Season 14), Aaryn Gries (Season 15), Caleb Reynolds (Season 16), Vanessa Rousso (Season 17) and Steve Moses (Season 17).

Both James Huling (Seasons 17 and 18) and Janelle Pierzina (Seasons 6, 7 and 14) have spent a total of 177 days in the Big Brother house. But Paul Abrahamian spent 191 competition days and two additional days visiting the house for a grand total of 193 days. 

Johnny Mac was used as a pawn so much during Season 17 that he now holds the record for most nominations in a single season. Victoria Rafaeli of Season 16 was nominated nine times, though one of those nominations was "rewound" by the Big Brother Rewind twist.

Janelle Pierzina holds the record for most lifetime nominations with 10 (spread across three seasons).

This epic Season 6 Head of Household competition, won by Jennifer Vasquez, lasted for 13 hours and 53 minutes.

Season 10's Jerry MacDonald made it all the way to the final three before being evicted.

Dan Gheesling played a perfect game in Season 10. Not only did he win the final jury vote by 7-0, he never received a single vote to evict during the entire season.

To date, Big Brother 16 winner Derrick Levasseur is the only Houseguest to play an entire season without being nominated for eviction.

Following her eviction in Season 3, Amy Crews said she would be willing to give up $250,000 in prize money and spend 42 days eating nothing but peanut butter and jelly for the opportunity to return to the Big Brother game.

Season 18's El Fit Vic was first evicted on Day 23, only to return to the game two weeks later by winning the Battle Back competition. Victor was again evicted on Day 72, but immediately won re-entry into the game at the next Head of Household competition. He was evicted for the third and final time on Day 90.

There were no Head of Household competitions in Season 1 so the first-ever HoH wasn't crowned until Season 2.

The now-iconic power was first introduced in Week 1 of Season 3 as the Silver Power of Veto.

Five different Powers of Veto have been introduced in Big Brother: The Silver Power of Veto (Season 3 only), Golden Power of Veto, Diamond Power of Veto (Seasons 4 and 12 only), Dual Power of Veto (Season 13 only), and the Golden Ball of Veto won by Ian Terry in Season 14.

Janelle Pierzina is right behind him with seven. She's also tied with Dani Donato for the most Power of Veto wins in a single season: five.

Season 18 of Big Brother lasted for 99 days.

This season lasted for just 71 days.
