Everything You Need To Know Before This Week's Code Black
2. Dr. Rorish is finally facing her past
Dr. Leanne Rorish is the Residency Director at Angels Memorial—the busiest ER in the nation. She has experienced unimaginable personal tragedy and, until recently, was burying herself with work to dull the pain.
3. Mama's on the mend
Jesse Sallander, the lovable and outspoken nurse, is on the mend from his recent heart attack.
4. It's a family affair
Dr. Mike Leighton, Angus' older brother, has returned to Angels Memorial—where he also performed his residency. On the heels of Dr. Rorish taking time off to deal with her past trauma, Mike was called in for an attending position.
5. The politics of the ER aren't easy
Dr. Neal Hudson, an excellent physician who has worked alongside Dr. Rorish for years, was in contention for the Residency Director job. It ultimately went to somebody with less seniority—Dr. Mike Leighton.
8. Gordon Heshman won't go away
Dr. Pineda has consistently seen the same patient, Gordon Heshman, who always comes in with a variety of scrapes and bruises. The two become acquainted, but after he followed her into the staff break room, Pineda was chastised by the current ER Director, Dr. Gina Perello.
9. Cloaked in scrubs, Heshman brutally attacked Dr. Perello
Clearly unstable and incredibly angry at Dr. Perello for trying to prevent him from getting closer to Malaya, Gordon Heshman stabbed the ER chief multiple times in a locker room.
10. Dr. Lorenson discovered the blood trail leading to Dr. Perello
Dr. Lorenson stumbled upon the critically-injured ER Director after seeing a large pool of blood on the locker room floor. She immediately alerted other doctors for help, but the attacker, Gordon Heshman, managed to escape.
