Angle of Attack
This episode is entitled "Angle of Attack." The angle of attack, in aerodynamics, is the angle between a body in motion and the atmosphere through which it is moving.
The wing suit was first piloted by a 19-year-old Rex G. Finney in 1930.
Icarus was the son of Daedalus, an Athenian craftsman who constructed wings from feathers and wax in Greek mythology. He, Icarus, died tragically after ignoring a warning from his father about the fragility of the wax wings.
The Black Box
Black boxes are equipped with an underwater locator beacon that sends ultrasonic pulses detectable by sonar and acoustical locating equipment. The beacon transmits sounds under once per second for 30 days; and in waters as deep as 14,000 feet.
