Twenty One Pilots Strip To Their Underwear To Receive GRAMMY Award
The Ohio natives debuted the leggy look to accept the award for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.
Have you ever had that nightmare where you wind up on stage in your underwear?
Well, for Twenty One Pilots, that dream came true at the 2017 GRAMMY Awards.
The talented pair dropped down to their skivvies on their way to the stage to accept their golden gramophone for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance at the Staples Center on Sunday, Feb. 12.
The seemingly random moment actually turned out to be one of the sweetest of the night when the Midwest duo explained why they let it all hang out.
Before becoming a global sensation, Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun were just two guys from Ohio with big dreams.
A few years ago, they kicked back in their boxers to watch the GRAMMY Awards and promised, if they ever hit it big, they'd also keep it real—and humble.
"[We said to each other] if we ever go to the GRAMMYs, we should go like this," said Joseph.
To cap off their acceptance speech, the pair offered some words of encouragement to their fans. Find out what advice they gave the next generation of aspiring musicians in the above video.
