Kendrick Lamar
Kendrick Lamar is a rapper hailing from Compton, California. His latest album, DAMN., released earlier this year, has drawn universal praise. Lamar has won seven GRAMMY Awards in total, five of which he took home in 2016 for his chart-topping singles "Alright" and "These Walls" (a collaboration with Bilal, Anna Wise, and Thundercat), plus his collaboration with Taylor Swift on her single "Bad Blood," Lamar also won the Best Rap Album GRAMMY Award for his 2015 album, To Pimp a Butterfly. In 2015, Lamar earned trophies for Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance, both for his single "i." He looks to add to that total this year with nominations in major categories.
