J. Cole
Jermaine Lamarr Cole, aka two-time GRAMMY nominee J. Cole, returned to his childhood home in Fayetteville, North Carolina as the setting for his third album, titled 2014 Forest Hills Drive. The album is a concept record about how a boy discovered his purpose, written from the perspective of a superstar rapper questioning the facets of fame. Cole adds two more GRAMMY nominations to his resume this year, with a nod in the Best R&B Performance category for his featured spot on Jeremih’s “Planes,” and a Best Rap Album nomination for 2014 Forest Hills Drive.
