Miranda Lambert admits to having a "Vice" or two.
An empowering anthem doesn't have to be loud, sexy, or dangerous.
Just listen to Lambert's "Vice," which is nominated for Best Country Song and proves there's also empowerment in visceral vulnerability. The single arrived after Lambert split from Blake Shelton, and it clearly mines the tough emotions she was facing amidst her divorce.
Even so, "Vice" finds Lambert bravely letting her guard down by acknowledging she's not perfect, she makes mistakes, and she relies on vices to keep going.
In other words, she's only human—and admitting that is empowering in a subtle but beautiful way.
