Giving compliments in a meaningful way shows that, not only do you recognize what's special about them, but why you appreciate them—and it demonstrates that you can be open about those feelings.

For example, on Love Island, the attraction between Weston and Kelsey was almost immediate and, within two days, they were already fawning all over each other.

Kelsey definitely took a leap by telling the cowboy, "I think you're literally so handsome, and I've never really dated anyone that looks like you," but the risk paid off when Weston confirmed the attraction was mutual, saying, "I see coming home to you!"
 

We all know that letting your guard down might create intimacy, but what if your secret's already out?

Address things head on and have that important conversation ... it might not be awkward, and it might just bring you closer.

Take Aissata, who proved to be an open book when she revealed her celibacy during a game of truth or dare. As to be expected, some of the Islanders were taken aback, but she only worried about the opinion of one person in particular: Yamen.

Later, when she went on a date with him, Aissata didn't waste time asking the 24-year-old real-estate agent how he felt about her confession, to which he said he had nothing but respect for her decision. Deep discussions like this help build a bond between and we hope to see the connection continue to grow between these two!

Even if you don't have a lot of financial resources at your disposal, you can definitely plan something that demonstrates how you feel about your burgeoning relationship.

With adorable creativity, Zac recruited some of his fellow Islanders to help guide Elizabeth on a scavenger hunt around the Villa—focusing on spots bearing special significance for the adorable couple—and, at the end, she found Zac, waiting to ask her to be his girlfriend. (Hint: She said yes!)

Sharing future aspirations can bring people closer quickly, and give each other a sense about their potential as an item.

During the Love Island dates in Episode 11, Ray and Katrina compared notes on what an ideal family life might look like—and, specifically, how many kids each wanted!

While these two didn't develop more than platonic feelings for each other, they did manage to reveal a lot in a short amount of time, and bonded on an important level.
